Taylor Swift in the stands as Eagles dominate boyfriend Travis Kelce’s Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX
Taylor Swift made a stylish entrance at Super Bowl LIX, but the night didn’t go as planned for her and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Philadelphia Eagles dominated the game, defeating the Chiefs 40-22 with a commanding performance that included four touchdowns and four field goals. The Chiefs’ offense struggled to gain momentum, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes sacked multiple times and the Eagles securing several key interceptions.
Photos shared on social media captured Swift looking pensive as she watched the game alongside her famous friends. At one point, Fox’s broadcast showed her standing at her seat as halftime approached, with commentators noting that “she hasn’t had much to cheer about yet because Travis Kelce hasn’t caught a ball.” This marked a noticeable shift from last year’s Super Bowl, where Swift’s frequent appearances on TV showcased her enthusiastic support for the Chiefs.
Swift arrived at Caesars Superdome wearing a dazzling outfit featuring bedazzled blue shorts, white thigh-high boots, and a "T" charm necklace—similar to the one she wore at the Grammys. According to a video shared by the NFL’s official account, Swift entered the stadium accompanied by her family, rapper Ice Spice, and members of the band Haim.
Earlier in the game, Swift appeared on the jumbotron and received a mix of cheers and boos from the crowd, though she brushed it off with a smile. Celebrities in attendance included Paul Rudd, Anne Hathaway, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Pete Davidson, and Kevin Costner. Jon Hamm introduced the Chiefs, while Philadelphia-native Bradley Cooper gave a lively intro for his hometown Eagles.
Swift has been a regular at Chiefs games throughout the 2024-2025 season, often seen cheering on Kelce, the Chiefs’ star tight end. She even attended the AFC Championship and Divisional games, celebrating the team’s wins, including sharing a kiss with Kelce after their AFC Championship victory. The couple has been romantically linked since Swift attended her first Chiefs game in September 2023 and famously shared a kiss after last year’s Super Bowl win.
This Super Bowl marked the Chiefs' fifth appearance in six years and the chance to make history with a third consecutive title. However, the Eagles dashed those hopes with their dominant performance.
The evening wasn’t just about football—Kendrick Lamar headlined the halftime show with SZA, while Jon Batiste delivered a stirring performance of the National Anthem. Despite the Chiefs’ loss, the star-studded night left plenty for fans to talk about.
