With Muse out of the picture, tonight’s episode opens behind bars, where we catch up with Benjamin Poindexter (Wilson Bethel). Despite the violent chaos he unleashed in the season premiere, Dex still insists he doesn’t belong in prison. That delusion is short-lived when he’s abruptly thrown into general population—face-to-face with a mob of furious inmates. Cue the credits.
Meanwhile, Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) praises Vanessa (Ayelet Zurer) for how deftly she handled the Luca situation. Their bond seems stronger than ever—a foreboding sign for the rest of New York.
Over at Matt’s place, Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Heather Glenn (Margarita Levieva) process Muse’s recent attack. The conversation turns tense when Heather draws parallels between Muse and Daredevil, calling them “underdeveloped boys hiding behind masks.” Matt argues Daredevil saved her; Heather insists she saved herself. Before things escalate further, there’s a knock at the door.
Enter Buck Cashman (Arty Froushan), Fisk’s right-hand man, delivering an invitation for Dr. Glenn from the Mayor: the Inaugural Black and White Ball, benefitting the Red Hook Port Revitalization Project. Matt snaps, warning her about Fisk’s true nature. But Heather, swayed by the Mayor’s rhetoric about vigilantes being a threat to public safety, isn’t so sure. She invites Matt to attend—but he storms out without an answer.
Elsewhere, Fisk brings Vanessa to his secret lair and reveals a disturbing surprise: her former lover, Adam (Lou Taylor Pucci), imprisoned. Fisk claims he’s changed—but couldn’t let Adam go. He offers Vanessa the key, giving her the choice. Adam begs for his life, but she coldly shoots him without hesitation. The couple, finally aligned, seal their twisted love with blood and a renewed commitment to each other.
